Clinical psychologists Dr. Steven Taketa and Dr. Analu Sing, with the Mental Health Clinic at UH West Oʻahu, will offer monthly mental health tips to students, faculty, and staff to cope through COVID-19 and these trying times:

Feeling anxious? Take time to breathe. A Yale study found that in one classroom-based wellness training program that incorporates breathing and emotional intelligence strategies, for example, students reported improvements in six areas of well-being: depression, stress, mental health, mindfulness, positive affect, and social connectedness.
