IRES works in connection with the UH System’s Office of Research Services (ORS) under the Office of the Vice President of Research & Innovation to submit and monitor research grants through the UH MyGrants portal

Getting into the competitive grants space can be daunting. IRES is here to support and guide. Professors and Staff members undertaking research projects are however, strongly advised to use the ORS training websites, as well as the trainings available on the funders websites, such as (but not limited to):

myGRANT is the University of Hawaii ORS portal where you will upload project documents to be monitored by ORS and UHWO fiscal office.

Grants.gov provides a single website for all federal agencies to post discretionary funding opportunities and for grantees to find and apply to them. This website will get you started on understanding the grants.gov space and how to make an account. Tip: Be sure to keep a written copy of all your portals’ account names and passwords!

Research.gov is the online grants management portal for the National Science Foundation (NSF) community (formerly known as Fastlane.gov but being phased out and replaced by Research.gov).
