2024 Annual Commencement Registration

To participate in the 2024 Annual Commencement Ceremony, please complete this form by Friday, April 4, 2024, 4 p.m. Summer 2023, Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 Graduates or Candidates for Graduation are invited to participate.

Time Description
7:30 - 8:30 a.m. Attendees arrive & park in the Lower Campus Parking Structure
Participants check-in - Stan Sheriff loading dock (1st floor)
7:45 a.m. Doors open - Guests welcomed to the Stan Sheriff Center seating area (2nd floor)
8:30 - 9 a.m. Pre-Ceremony: Preparation and Line-up
9 - 10:30 a.m. Commencement Ceremony (estimated time)
*Graduates greet guests at the Clarence T.C. Ching Field following the ceremony

Graduates and guests are asked to clear the Clarence T.C. Ching Field by 12:00 p.m., and the campus by 12:30 p.m.

NOTE: Participants are required to meet at the Stan Sheriff Center loading dock (1st floor) and should be checked in by 8:30 a.m. Participants who are not dressed in full regalia, checked in, and lined up by 8:45 a.m. will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony. Arrival, parking, check-in and pre-ceremony activities will take time, plan accordingly.

The decision to celebrate at the Stan Sheriff Center was based upon feedback from graduates, candidates for graduation, and our desire to maintain a safe environment for all participants, their guests, and campus ambassadors. We believe the change in location will help students and families celebrate and commemorate this amazing milestone in a safe, responsible environment, while attempting to capture what makes UH West O`ahu commencement special and translate that uniqueness to the new location.

  • LIVE Streamed:
    There will be a LIVE stream of the ceremony on the UH West Oʻahu homepage. The recording will be available for viewing 2-3 weeks following the ceremony.
  • Participant Registration PDF:
    After you complete the 2024 Annual Commencement Registration Form you will receive a confirmation email with an attachment, the attachment is your Participant Registration PDF. PRINT your Participant Registration PDF and bring it with you to the ceremony. The PDF lists your name, concentration and degree; including pronunciation hints, if necessary for the name reader.
  • Regalia (cap, gown and tassel):
    All participants must have regalia (cap, gown and tassel) in order to participate in the ceremony. Please visit the UH West Oʻahu Bookstore Grad Store to order/purchase/pick up your regalia prior to ceremony day.
  • Honor and Service Stoles or Cords:
    Participants planning to wear honor and service stoles or cords should contact your organizations in advance to arrange purchase/pick up prior to ceremony day.
