Careers & Internships
RMI is a broad term that crosses many industries for management-level professionals who deal with uncertainties, or risk, in their company operations. Students pursuing this certificate may not choose to go into insurance, but may manage risk for their company. A firm’s risk management plan should include some insurance planning, such as developing contingency plans for depressed product sales, purchasing futures contracts to lock into raw material prices, or making sure that labor is happy with current union contract.
