Adventist Health Castle COPE Health Scholar Program 

As a Health Scholar, you’ll gain firsthand experience in a clinical setting, impact patients’ lives and become an integral part of the patient care team.  This unique internship program provides you an opportunity to explore different health care career paths while providing basic patient care assisting nurses, doctors and other clinicians.

 Program Experience & Benefits

  • Receive 30 hours of training (basic patient comfort care skills, HIPAA, health care policies, infection control, ect.) 
  • Rotate through many clinical departments (Med-Surge, Telemetry, Imaging, Health Admin, ICU, Emergency Department, Birth Center, Behavioral Health)
  • Complete 280 hours to graduate (Certificate in Patient Experience and Pre-License Clinical Care)
  • Become a standout applicant for medical, nursing or physician assistant school
  • Get work ready & connected to entry level jobs within the healthcare system

 Program Track Options

  • 15 month – $295 (subject to change; scholarships available)
  • 9 month – $475 (subject to change; scholarships available)
  • 3 month – $595 (subject to change; scholarships available)

Adventist Health Castle Work Readiness Program

A collaborative effort between COPE and AHCS Work Readiness program. The goal is to provide an opportunity for individuals to gain clinical experience to join the healthcare workforce. The work readiness program will cover partial tuition for COPE but the individual must also commit to employment at Castle.

Candidates should meet the following requirements:

  • Students identify as at-risk (government assistance, income base automatically gets you in)
  • Will be required to enroll in the COPE program.
  • After/During COPE program, commit to employment opportunities at Castle (CNA, MA, Tech, Imaging Assistant, Patient Service Representative, etc.)
