Yong receives national honor for being ‘Outstanding Mentor’
University of Hawai‘i–West O‘ahu Associate Professor of Mathematics Dr. Kamuela Yong was named the 2023 recipient of the Outstanding Mentor Award for Native American Students by the Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics & Native Americans in Science (SACNAS).
