All are invited to the University of Hawai‘i–West O‘ahu campus to celebrate the grand reopening of the UH West O‘ahu Bookstore and the Dining Hall at a special event, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20.

Guests are welcome to purchase plate lunches and smoothies at the Dining Hall, which continues to be operated by Da Spot Health Foods & Juices, visit the bookstore to peruse its many offerings, and learn more about UH West O‘ahu at the Nāulu Outdoor Learning Space.

Event festivities will include free tastings, including acai bowls, and drawings every 30 minutes for great giveaways, such as books and games.

In January of this year, the UH West O‘ahu Bookstore reopened in its new space in C-172, replacing the former space in C-226. Also in January, the Dining Hall reopened for takeout service after closing in spring 2020 because of the pandemic. The Dining Hall opened for full service this August in time for the start of the fall semester.

In honor of the grand reopening celebration, there are also coupons available (see below) for special discounts — $2 off a regular mochiko chicken plate at Da Spot and 20% off regular-priced apparel or souvenir item at the bookstore — valid Sept. 19 through Sept. 23 at UH West O‘ahu locations.
