The University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu Student Organic Garden Community Workday is an opportunity for volunteers to help care for the garden by learning to prepare soil, building compost, installing irrigation, sowing seed, harvesting produce, and more.

Join in on these hands-on workdays, from 8 to 11 a.m. on the first Saturdays throughout the fall semester — Sept. 3, Oct. 1, and Nov. 5 — at the garden, or māla, located on campus adjacent to the Classroom (D) and Laboratory (E) buildings.

The garden community workdays are open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Participants bring reusable water bottles, use sun protection, and wear close-toed shoes.

Please email tasiay@hawaii.edu with questions or to RSVP.
