If you are a University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu student looking for a job, internship, practicum, or other career-related experience, then consider attending the UH West Oʻahu Virtual Career & Internship Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 22.

According to event organizers, employment opportunities continue to grow despite the persisting health crisis. The fair is an opportunity for students to connect with employers who are looking for great candidates to join their teams.

Event organizers also noted that students who are a couple of years out from graduation should consider gaining valuable experience and applying their skills and knowledge at an internship or through part-time work, as employers value candidates who have experience through internships or part-time work as they study.

Loea Akiona, Career Services Coordinator at UH West Oʻahu, highly encourages students to attend the Career & Internship Fair.

“Nearly half of the participating businesses and organizations — 40 at the moment — are new to our fair,” Akiona said. “Besides the employment opportunities, this is a great time to practice talking with employers, gain insight into the industries you are interested in, and build your network.”

Participating employers include 6 Pillars Marketing, Bank of Hawaiʻi, Earthworks Pacific, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Hawaiian Dredging Construction Co., Kamehameha Schools, Marriott International, Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), Teach For America and The Queen’s Health Systems.
