The University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu Student Organic Garden Community Workday is an opportunity for volunteers to help care for the garden by learning to prepare soil, building compost, sowing seed, harvesting produce, and more.

Join in on these hands-on workdays, 8 to 11 a.m. Saturdays March 5, April 2, and April 30 at the garden, or māla, located on campus adjacent to the Classroom (D) and Laboratory (E) buildings.

The garden community workdays are open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Participants should follow proper safety protocols (masks required), and should also bring reusable water bottles, use sun protection, and wear close-toed shoes.

Each workday will be limited to 25 participants; RSVPs required. More details will be shared with those who RSVP. Email tasiay@hawaii.edu.
