Learn to prepare soil, build compost, install irrigation, sow seed, harvest produce, and more at the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu Student Organic Garden Community Workday, 8 to 11 a.m. on Sept. 4, Oct. 2, and Nov. 6.

Join these hands-on workdays, which will take place on the first Saturday of the month at the garden, or māla, located on campus adjacent to the Classroom (D) and Laboratory (E) buildings.

The garden community workdays are open to students, faculty, staff, and community members. Participants should follow proper safety protocols, and should also bring reusable water bottles, use sun protection, and wear close-toed shoes.

Each workday will be limited to 25 participants; RSVPs required. Email tasiay@hawaii.edu.
