UH West Oʻahu presents special panel for ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi month

ʻO Pepeluali ka mahina ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, no laila, e naue mai a hoʻolohe i nā moʻolelo o ka poʻe ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi ma ke kula nui o Oʻahu komohana! E mālama ʻia kēia panela i ka lā 26 o Pepeluali M.H. 2021 mai ka hola 11 a i ka hapalua hola 12 ma ka ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi (me kekahi ʻōlelo Pelekania paha). Eia nā haʻi ʻōlelo o ka lā: Hōkū Kaahaaina (he limahana mālama wikiō ma ʻUluʻulu), Hōkū Kwan (ke poʻo o ke kākoʻo i nā haumāna Hawaiʻi), Kaua Neumann (ke kumu ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi o kēia kula nui), Pōkiʻi Seto (ka mea hoʻonohonoho no Hoʻopūliko Kumu Hou), a me Wela Wahilani (ke kākoʻo no Hoʻopūliko Kumu Hou). Na Kawena Komeiji (Hawaiʻi-Pacific Resources Librarian) e hoʻomalu i kēia panela. E ola nō ka ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi!

Translation: February is ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi month so come and listen to the stories of some of our ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi speakers on the UH West Oʻahu campus! The panel will take place on February 26, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., mostly in Hawaiian but with some English as well. The speakers are: Hōkū Kaahaaina (Assistant Processing Archivist, ʻUluʻulu), Hōkū Kwan (Director of Native Hawaiian Student Support Programs), Kaua Neumann (UHWO ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi instructor), Pōkiʻi Seto (Hoʻopūliko Kumu Hou Assistant Specialist: Program Coordinator), and Wela Wahilani (Hoʻopūliko Kumu Hou Candidate Support). Kawena Komeiji (Hawaiʻi-Pacific Resources Librarian) will moderate this panel. The Hawaiian language lives!
