Update: The deadline for nominations for the 2020-2021 University of Hawaiʻi Teaching Excellence Awards has been extended to 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 15, 2021.
University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu students, faculty, and staff are welcome to nominate any faculty member — full-time or part-time — or librarian for the 2020-2021 University of Hawaiʻi Teaching Excellence Awards.
Nominations for all of the following teaching awards can be submitted through a common UH West Oʻahu Teaching Awards Nominations Form. However, submit a separate nomination form for each nominee and do not nominate the same person more than once.
The awards are the Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching and the Lecturer Excellence in Teaching Award.
The Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching is awarded by the Board of Regents as a tribute to faculty members who exhibit an extraordinary level of subject mastery and scholarship, teaching effectiveness and creativity, and personal values that benefit students.
The following faculty members at UH West Oʻahu have already received the Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching award and are not eligible:

The UH West O‘ahu Lecturer Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes the dedication and commitment of our part-time lecturer personnel. This award was established at UH West Oʻahu in 2019.
