Fall semester may look different this semester, but that hasn’t stopped the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu Intramural Sports, Fitness and Wellness team from continuing to provide students with opportunities to engage in fitness and recreational activities that foster sportsmanship and community building.

This semester, all events — including yoga, workout tutorials, and gaming — are virtual, hosted primarily via Zoom and via the @uhwosports Instagram account.

“Academics is first and foremost, but everyone needs time to laugh, smile, and have fun,” said Ryan Perreira, Intramural Sports and Fitness Center Coordinator.

For the most up-to-date schedule of activities, which are also open to faculty and staff, check out the Intramural Sports, Fitness and Wellness calendar.

Highlights in the coming week include:

  • Game Night, 4 to 8 p.m. Oct. 8 and Oct. 15: Play video games with others on Thursdays. This week and next week, play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The game of the week is announced Mondays on the @uhwosports Instagram account. Zoom Meeting ID is 948 4179 5815 and password is hootiehoo or Waiting Room.
  • Hootie Hootz, 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 12: Join a weekly podcast/webinar that covers movies, video games, and more. This week, enjoy a cooking demonstration and learn how to make Halloween treats. Zoom Meeting ID is 975 1579 8101 and password is hootiehoo.
