Dr. Patricia Yu graduated from Northern Illinois University with a PhD in economics. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Economics at UHWO where she teaches courses dealing with microeconomics, macroeconomics, environmental economics, and Hawaii's economy. Her research examines timely and important spatial econometrics and semiparametric techniques in order to estimate the valuation of bundled goods or environmental amenities/disamenities with hedonic pricing models. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals using those techniques. She has also published in several conference proceedings including Hawaii International Conference on Education, Global Conference on Business and Finance, and Eurasia Business and Economics Society.
