The UH West Oʻahu campus is committed to protecting the environment on and around the campus. To do so, UH West Oʻahu monitors its environmental compliance with many federal, state and local regulations. This includes maintaining compliance with the UH West Oʻahu National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (NPDES MS4) permit coverage and other pollution prevention programs.

If you see a spill on campus and it looks like it can reach a storm drain, call UHWO EHSO at 808-689-2529. If you see the spill after hours, call security at 808-689-2911.

Storm Water

The UH West Oʻahu Campus Storm Water Management Program (SWMP) is required in compliance under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Permit.

UH West Oʻahu is committed to keeping pollutants out of our environment. The UHWO Waste Guidelines assists waste generators to properly collect and/or dispose of the different waste generators on campus. These guidelines do not apply to personal or household waste as the University must comply with many local, state and federal regulations.
