The Hoot: writers and photographers needed

A message from The Hoot in an email dated Oct. 30:

Interested in creative writing? Photography? Or journalism in general? Join The Hoot!

The Hoot is a student-run newspaper produced and distributed by the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu student body.

We cover campus topics and stories about current issues surrounding the UH System, events, student perspectives, and more.

As a writer for The Hoot, you will be able to talk and interview a wide range of campus faculty, staff, and students. Through The Hoot, you will have the opportunity to expand your writing skills while documenting campus issues through fun and engaging articles

As a photographer for The Hoot, you would work with our team of writers to provide photo coverage for the articles in our issue. This could include going to campus events or working with faculty and staff to get headshots and other more coordinated photos.
