Represent UH West Oʻahu in Valorant, Super Smash Bros., and more

A message from UH West Oʻahu Pueo Gaming to students in an email dated Jan. 13:

Hello UH West Oʻahu students!

My name is Garrett Lau and I am the president of Pueo Gaming, the esports/gaming club here at UH West Oʻahu.

Our goal is to create a safe space for people to connect through video games. We also give the opportunity for students to compete in collegiate competition in popular esports titles. We also host game nights and will be collabing with other organizations on campus.

For the past three years, Pueo Gaming has competed in numerous tournaments such as National Esports Collegiate Conference, Playfly Esports, ConferenceOne, Collegiate FGC, and many more! Many students have represented our club and have found success with reaching playoff rounds and even with our Fall 2023 League of Legends Team winning us our first ever national championship.

This semester, we have been invited to compete in the Vanta Collegiate Cup, presented by Zippy’s with its third annual UH Systems tournaments, where all UH campuses go head-to-head in esports competition. We are recruiting players for Valorant and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to represent UH West Oʻahu! If you are interested, please see the QR codes below and fill out the forms! We will also be having a League of Legends team and FGC Players compete in their own respective collegiate leagues.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me (glau808@hawaii.edu), or on Discord (roisier); see QR code below. Thanks all and have a wonderful semester!

Mahalo,
Garrett Lau, president of Pueo Gaming
