Mandatory Information Security and Awareness Training
A message from UH Information Technology Services in an email dated April 17:
Aloha UH Community Members,
Administrative Procedure 2.215 requires UH and RCUH employees to complete the annual mandatory Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT).
If you have an expired ISAT or have not taken the training before, please follow the directions below to complete the training. If you have a valid ISAT (i.e., you’ve taken it within a year), disregard this email.
It is critical for our University to have a fully implemented privacy and security training program for employees to comply with federal regulations and to reduce the risk of data breaches and exposures. The training should take less than hour.
To access the ISAT:
- Go to https://www.hawaii.edu/its/
acer/ - Click “Login,” then sign in using your UH username and password.
- On the Acknowledgements and Certifications (ACER) table, click on “Information Security Awareness Training.”
- You will be forwarded to the Laulima login page. Click on “UH Login.”
- If you have never logged onto the training before or it’s been a while, you will see a message that says “Currently, you are not a member of the site called ISAT V2. Would you like to join and become a member of the site?” Click on “YES, ADD ME.” You will only need to do this once. You will be able to get in without being asked this question on subsequent returns.
- In Laulima, click on the tab “ISAT V2.”
Additional information:
- On the ACER table, there’s an option to print an ISAT completion certificate, if needed.
- The ACER site will reflect your ISAT completion date the day after you complete the training (there is a one day lag).
- After you complete the ISAT, you will automatically receive 30- and 7-day email reminders prior to your expiration date the following year.
- An FAQ page is available at https://www.hawaii.edu/
infosec/training/.
