Important: Required State Ethics Training for all employees

A message from UH Office of Human Resources to all UH faculty and staff in an email dated Oct. 13:

Aloha UH employees,

State law requires all state legislators, state employees, and members of state boards and commissions to take ethics training every four years. This law applies to all university employees except Graduate Assistants and SECE student assistants.

Any UH employee who last completed State of Hawai‘i Ethics Training before Jan. 1, 2020, is required to complete either Online Training or In-Person Training by Dec. 31, 2023.

If you completed State of Hawai‘i Ethics Training after Jan. 1, 2020, then you do not need to take any action at this time.

Access your UH LMS Account to determine when you last completed ethics training or check with your HR representative.

You must enter your hawaii.edu email address upon completion of the online training to ensure proper credit is applied to your UH LMS Account. It may take up to 30 days for your account to reflect completion of online training.

More information regarding this state law requirement can be found at the Hawaiʻi State Ethics Commission website.

Please contact your HR representative with any questions or concerns.

Mahalo,
Office of Human Resources
