Honolulu Brass Concert in library today, Feb. 27

Chamber Music Hawaiʻi presents “Leonard Bernstein Suite for Brass,” featuring the Honolulu Brass Quintet, 7 p.m. today, Feb. 27, at the James & Abigail Campbell Library. The concert is free for students with ID.

Together with the beloved “West Side Story Suite” and the “Brass Music” dedicated to the pet dogs in his life, the program presents the melancholic and humorous song “Story of My Life’ from the musical “Wonderful Town” by Bernstein. The arrangement for trumpet and piano is by Jeff Silberschlag, the dad of Zach Silberschlag — a member of the Honolulu Brass Quintet.
