Commencement Student Speaker nominations due Feb. 21, applications due Feb. 28​

Do you know a spring 2025 graduating student who would be an excellent Annual Commencement speaker? Are you a spring 2025 graduating student who is interested in applying to be a student speaker?

Here are the qualifications:

• Graduating Senior: All applicants meet this requirement.
• Academic Achievement: The student must demonstrate academic achievement, as evidenced by a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• University and Community Service: The student must have a record of meaningful University and/or community service.
• Public Communication Skills. The student must demonstrate the potential to communicate to a large audience in a meaningful, clear, and an expressive manner. The student must prepare and deliver their speeches professionally.

Important dates to note:

• 2025 Annual Commencement Ceremony Student Speaker nominations due by Friday, Feb. 21
• 2025 Annual Commencement Ceremony Student Speaker applications due by Friday, Feb. 28
• Prepare for student speaker auditions on March 14 (1 – 4:30 p.m.) and March 17 (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
