Long Range Planning

University of Hawaiʻi - West Oʻahu

UH West Oʻahu prepares 21st Century leaders – career creators – through integrated, transdisciplinary programs where learners and teachers discover, innovate, and engage diverse communities to create a vibrant and just world.

Under the direction of Chancellor Maenette Benham, UH West Oʻahu is undertaking an assessment of academic, student and administrative affairs to formulate a strategy that aligns its enrollment, facilities, and academic growth prospects over the next 10, 15, and 20 years. In conjunction with its planning process, UH West Oʻahu is developing business models and evaluation/assessment and accreditation strategies to ensure responsible stewardship of resources and programmatic decision making.

Work groups consisting of students, faculty, staff, and administrators are focusing on Long-Range Academic Planning, Student Success, and a Long Range Development Plan. The year-long process is taking a collaborative approach by soliciting feedback from the campus throughout the process.
