Extended Closure Due to Air Conditioning Project
Please note the temporary closure of the James & Abigail Campbell Library, beginning on March 13, as a result of a Library Air Conditioning Repair Project. The library will be under construction to optimize the air conditioning system to address higher than normal humidity levels within the building. The scope of work includes replacement of failing insulation, cleaning of ductwork, and replacement of non-operational equipment and sensors.
Due to the extent of work required, the entire building will be closed during the construction period which is anticipated to begin on Spring Break 2023 and continue through late Summer 2023. However, as with the nature of construction, this timeline is subject to change due to unforeseen conditions and longer lead times of materials from supply chain shortages experienced in recent years. Should you have any questions on the construction, please contact the Planning and Design project manager at 808-689-2546. Updates about the project can be viewed here.
