KIC Scanner Temporarily Unavailable

Update 11/17/2025: The KIC Scanner is operational again. Mahalo for your patience and understanding!

The Library’s KIC scanner is out of service until further notice. The device has been repeatedly experiencing technical issues that have resulted in lost work for some users. Replacement parts have been ordered but we have not received a shipping update yet, so we are unable to provide an estimated repair date at this point.

In the meantime, we recommend:

• using a KIC scanner at a nearby library, like the one at Leeward CC.
• exploring document scanning features that are available on many smartphones and tablets (see this example for iOS; see this example for GoogleDrive). Depending on your needs, you can then consider using accessibility tools such as Equidox or ABBYY FineReader.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. We’ll post an update as soon as the scanner is operational again.
