Students interested in learning more about UH West O‘ahu’s Aloha ‘Āina Club are invited to attend the event to meet current members and to get in the loop about what the club has planned for this semester. Participants will also learn how to make their own coconut shell ‘apu (drinking cups) to use during future club gatherings and ‘awa circles.

Additionally, prior to the workshop on the same day, there is a scheduled Student Organic Garden Community Workday for volunteers to help care for the garden, or māla, 8 to 11 a.m. UH West O‘ahu students, faculty and staff are welcome and encouraged to attend both events.

To RSVP or for more information about the workshop, email dhill24@hawaii.edu. To RSVP or for more information about the workday, email tasiay@hawaii.edu.

This event is one of the “50 Acts of Pueo Pride” — events highlighted as part of the University of Hawai‘i–West O‘ahu’s 50th anniversary in 2026.
