Update, March 10: With the incoming storm predicted to impact the state this week, the UH West O‘ahu Career and Internship Fair / Careers in IT and Cyber Fair originally scheduled for Thursday, March 12, has been postponed. The new date is Thursday, April 9.
University of Hawai‘i–West O‘ahu students can find opportunities, build real skills, and make connections that will launch their career development at the UH West O‘ahu Career and Internship Fair, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, in C-208.
The fair will feature about 50 participating employers who will assist attendees looking for a job, internship, practicum, or other career-related experience.
“Whether you’re exploring industries, looking for that perfect internship or practicum, or prepping for life after graduation, this fair connects you to people, possibilities, and the next steps in your journey,” said Dr. Loea Akiona, Director of Student Development and Career Development at UH West O‘ahu.
According to event organizers, students will be able to connect with employers who are looking for great candidates to join their teams. Even if students are a couple of years out from graduation, they should consider gaining valuable experience and applying their skills and knowledge at an internship or through part-time work. Employers value candidates who complement their degrees with experience gained through internships or part-time work.
The UH West O‘ahu Career and Internship Fair is a collaboration with the Careers in IT and Cyber Fair, which is a part of the Hawai‘i Tech Days series of events.
