The Mostly Monthly Reading Series starts off this semester with featured guest Dr. Daewon Noh, a prolific scholar focusing on Contemporary Korean literature, AI, and specifically science/speculative fiction.
His talk, titled “The World of Korean Science Fiction Literature,” will be 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the James & Abigail Campbell Library, second-floor exhibition space. As always there will be snacks and prize drawings.
Noh has won multiple awards for his research from his home institution, Jeju National University. He is currently at University of Southern California as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar and is visiting Hawaiʻi as a Fulbright lecturer.
The event is presented in collaboration between faculty host Andy Godefroy, an English lecturer at UH West O‘ahu, and the James & Abigail Campbell Library, and is supported by Fulbright’s Outreach Lecturing Fund.
The Mostly Monthly Reading Series event featuring Noh is open to UH West O‘ahu students, faculty, and staff, and the general public. Anyone who has questions or would like more info may email godefroy@hawaii.edu.
