Throughout the spring 2021 semester, the University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu earned several top rankings, from being one of the most affordable colleges in the state to having some of the best online bachelor’s programs.
Among the more notable rankings, UH West Oʻahu placed No. 1 by Study.com on its list of Best Online Bachelor’s Degrees in Public Administration.
According to the website, “The health care administration and disaster preparedness tracks are the only of their kind in the state. Online students are able to complete a capstone course that can be a practicum or a project where they get experience solving real world problems. This program also serves as a great launchpad for students to continue to graduate studies.”
Here are details of UH West Oʻahu’s rankings announced this semester:
- Selected as as among the Most Affordable Teacher Certification Bachelor’s Degree Programs in Education in 2021 by EducationDegree.com. The website, which serves as a resource for teacher education programs, named UH West Oʻahu as the most affordable teaching certificate bachelor’s in education program (public college) in the state.
- Ranked No. 1 by Study.com on its list of Best Online Bachelor’s Degrees in Public Administration. Study.com considered hundreds of universities across the country and selected UH West Oʻahu based on academic and career resources, the quality of education, faculty, and more. Generous transfer policies, experiential learning, and opportunities for additional certifications are some of the other factors that set the top programs apart from others.
- Ranked No. 2 by Best Value Schools on its list of Most Affordable Colleges in Hawaiʻi in 2021. Best Value Schools put together a list of all of the four-year colleges and universities available in Hawaiʻi and ranked them in order from cheapest to most expensive based on in-state tuition or tuition based on religious affiliation, also keeping in mind that there are several tiers for tuition, which are listed.
- Ranked No. 4 by Study.com on its list of Best Online Bachelor’s in Social Science Programs. To develop a definitive list of the best online bachelor’s degrees in social science, Study.com analyzed data from the United States Department of Education using a comprehensive ranking methodology. With a special focus on affordability and accessibility, Study.com has taken into account factors such as tuition, support for online students, and career resources, among others.
