Chancellor Maenette Benham shared her bold vision for University of Hawaiʻi–West Oʻahu’s future during an On the Horizon series webinar, which is now available online.

The event, which was held Oct. 29 via Zoom, included updates from experts on some of UH West Oʻahu’s star programs. The panelists were Matthew Chapman with Cybersecurity, Sharla Hanaoka with Creative Media, and Albie Miles with Sustainable Community Food Systems.

“Our value proposition engages our faculty and staff in the preparation of 21st century leaders, career creators, through integrated transdisciplinary programs where our learners discover and innovate to create a vibrant, healthy, and just world,” Benham said during the webinar.

“This kāhea, this calling, is especially important today as we face multiple challenges to our public-private institutions, our communities, and to our beloved families,” Benham continued. “This kāhea presents us at UH West Oʻahu with coherence and focus as we look to our signature programs to lift the economic, social, cultural, and educational well-being of Hawaiʻi.”

On the Horizon is a new UH webinar series that will showcase programmatic endeavors, campus goals, and opportunities for support at UH’s 10 dynamic campuses. Questions?
