Healing Soles/Pride & Diversity is hosting its annual event to raise awareness about and against sexual violence. Students, faculty, staff and others are invited to participate in this event (the walk starts at 12:30 p.m.) which features participants wearing uncomfortable footwear to symbolize getting to know someone’s experience by walking in their shoes.

Students are encouraged to participate in the costume contest, where costumes will be judged based on creativity, originality, creepiness factor, and embodiment of the character.

Pride & Diversity initiatives are also being featured at the event – with educational resources and activities being planned.

The event is being held in conjunction with Trick O’ Reg, where students can meet with their academic advisors and pre-register for Spring 2020 classes. Students will also have the opportunity to talk with some of the instructional faculty in their divisions (e.g. business, humanities, social sciences, etc.) and network at the event on Oct. 31 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Campus Courtyard. All participating faculty and staff will be dressed up in costumes, and students will be able to vote for their favorite costume at the event.
