Māori Scholar to present on Aotearoa, Māori, and Geothermal

University of Auckland Doctoral Candidate Nona Taute will present to the UH West Oʻahu community in a learning opportunity with indigenous scholars in/of Oceania. Taute, who has a passion for contributing to a more environmentally sustainable engineering practices, will present on how Aotearoa’s geothermal resources can be more sustainably utilized by drawing on indigenous knowledge within Māori communities.

Tauteʻs presentation, on Thursday, Oct. 3, from 2 to 3:20 p.m. in D237, is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community invited to attend and participate in this wonderful learning opportunity from upcoming
indigenous scholars in/of Oceania.
