IT Help Desk for Technical Support
The IT Help Desk can assist with basic technology issues that you might have as it relates to your courses. The IT Help Desk will help you get on the UHWO wireless; log into Laulima; reset your UH Username; and troubleshoot software for your distance education courses. We do not perform computer repairs on personal computers. We will do our best to help you identify what the problem is so that you can take the computer to a place to fix it.. You may contact us during business hours Monday - Thursday 7:30am to 7:00pm and Fridays 7:30am to 5:00pm.
UHWO Wireless Internet
UHWO has an extensive wireless infrastructure in all of the buildings on campus. You should be able to connect to the wireless from inside of any building on campus. There is outdoor wireless access in the A building. The UHWO wireless is free for all UH faculty, staff and students to use. You need your UH username and password to get on to the UHWO wireless ID.
If logging in is a hassle, we highly encourage you to use the wireless pass-through system., This system will register your mobile devices so you do not need to log in every time you come to campus. You will need to renew your pass-through access every year to keep your devices registered.
If you happen to be at any of the other 9 UH campuses (i.e. UH Manoa, UH Hilo, and most UH community college campuses) , your UH username and pass-through system will work there too!
Laulima ('many hands' in Hawaiian) is the Learning Management System used for all UH System courses. Laulima contains the online tools that you would need to successfully complete your course work especially if you are taking distance education or hybrid courses. On Laulima, you can find your course syllabus, submit your assignments, take quizzes, and participate in class discussions. Please check with your instructor for the course requirements.
All UHWO students will automatically be added to Laulima after they registered.

MyUH is the single web site that you need to remember for all of your college needs. You use MyUH to register for classes, check your financial aid, pay for your classes, view your grades, connect to Laulima, and access your Google@UH email.
All accepted UHWO students must register for their UH Username after receiving their acceptance letter. The UH Username is important because it allows you to access all of the necessary services in college (such as registering for classes, checking your email, and logging into Laulima).
Never share your UH Username and password with anyone!
If you forgot your password, there are two ways for you to reset your password. First, if you know the answer to their security questions, you can reset your password at the following link. Or you will need to come in person with a photo ID to the UHWO IT Help Desk in the Library. Note: The IT Help Desk business hours are Monday - Thursday 7:30am to 7:00pm and Fridays 7:30am to 5:00pm.
As a UHWO student, you have an official college email account and it looks like this [UH username]@hawaii.edu. UHWO faculty and staff will send official UHWO email messages such as class information, emergency information, and course progress messages to your Google@UH account. Google@UH accounts are for educational use and have unlimited storage. Please do not store sensitive personal information on your Google Drive
Since we are using Google, you have access to Google apps and you may add these apps to your mobile devices. Please note the use of Google apps in your classes will depend on your instructor.
