    1.  Midyear Commencement, on campus, December 14, 9:00am

    4. Fiscal Year Budget Presentation Live on November 15; also recorded.
  2. Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Administration (Vice-Chancellor David McDonald)
    1. Community Meeting on November 13 at 11:30-12:30 in A101, also live-streamed. Hosted by System Staff on expansion of Road D and further development of that part of campus. This is a required part of these actions.
    2. Update on Building A – classroom and labs, addressing temperature and humidity challenges. New boiler has been installed and some adjustments are being made. This will reduce the humidity and raise the temperature
  3. Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Student Affairs (Vice-Chancellor Dee Uwono)
    1. E Ala Pono: 50% of faculty participated for 45% of the classes; please participate so that we can avoid an audit.
    2. Thanks to those who participated in Kapolei Career Expo. Over 2000 high school students came to our campus
    3. Career internship and Cyber Fair – 150 students participated
    4. November 19 – Grad Fest at Na`ulu Center – Includes free sittings for professional head shots
  4. Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs (Vice-Chancellor Harald Barkhoff)
    1. 32 people up for tenure and/or promotion – TPRCs will be formed soon
    2. New faculty classification System – already in effect, but VP Halpert is coming for a meeting for Division Chairs, but open to everyone.
    3. Forming a workload policy task force, and faculty senate will have a representative.
    4. There will be more VCAA meetings with faculty and students

  1. General Education is going forward but there are not a lot of answers forthcoming.

    1. Report passed.
    2. Note – some concentration updates have been stuck in the workflow, and they are being monitored; watch for updates.
  4. Distance Education – (Katherine Aumer)
    1. Any last minute requests, absolutely cannot go past first day of class for students
  5. General Education – (Sen. Megan Ross) – updated report

  6. Program Review – (Sen.Joy Mahiko) – see report.
    1. Meeting with program review committees for self-study, aiming for December to complete. Expect self-studies in upcoming reports.
    1. Student Affairs (Sen. Keʻalohi Perry) – no report.
    2. There has been an expression of need for more in-person classes from students. They want more in-person classes is because that’s how they learn best with faculty and peers, and fostering an in-person campus environment. Committee is gathering data to share and listen to our students.
  7. Sustainability – (Sen. Rouel Velasco)
    1. Report passed.
    2. Monique Mironesco – vice chair for Fall 2024
    3. Pitch and Present Competition – next stage is happening
  8. Special Committee on Charter Review – (Sen. Monique Mironesco)
    1. No vote on anything. Discussions ongoing
  9. Special Committee on Project-based Learning
    1. This committee will be postponed until the workload committee initiated by the AVCAA is finished.

B.    University Chorus – Monday evenings 6:30p – promote to students (and consider yourself)

C.    Food Vault – VCAA – consider volunteering for shifts to help with food insecurity, donate unexpired can goods – drop off at Library Circulation Desk
