Keith H. Sakuda is a professor of management and international relations at the University of Hawai‘i–West O‘ahu. His research interests are international virtual exchange, cross-cultural management, intercultural relations, and social entrepreneurship. He is a past president and program chair of the Western Casewriters Association. His industry experience includes consulting projects in Hawai'i, Tahiti, China, the U.S., and Japan.

Keith was a co-founder of an award-winning social enterprise which sought to promote food sovereignty in the Pacific Islands through aquaponics and coordinated distributed agriculture. The organization was featured in international and national media, including Fast Company, The Guardian, National Geographic, and the Honolulu Star-Advertiser.  They were also invited guest speakers at Harvard University’s Social Entrepreneurship Conference and Fish 2.0 at Stanford University. 

In addition to his duties at UH - West Oahu, Keith was an overseas summer scholar at Chongqing Technology & Business University and visiting scholar for Kansai Gaikokugo Daigaku.  He was also an external reviewer for Hong Kong Baptist University’s College of International Education.  Keith currently serves as an officer/board member of the non-profit organizations the United Japanese Society of Hawaii (president), the Hawai‘i-Fukuoka Kenjinkai (immediate past president), the Hawai'i Global Education Foundation (chair of the board), and the U.S.-Japan Council (leader).
