Facilities Management Certificate
Learning Outcomes
Students who complete these courses in the Facilities Management Certification will be able to:
- FMGT 300 – Understand the history, foundational principles, and practices required for the delivery of efficient and effective facility management services (CLO 1, CLO 2, ILO 4).
- FMGT 302 – Demonstrate the knowledge and best-practice skills needed to effectively manage the operation and maintenance function within the context of sustainable buildings and critical physical assets (CLO 2, ILO 4).
- FMGT 401 – Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to effectively manage the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) function to protect human resources and enhance organizational performance (CLO 3, ILO 4).
- FMGT 402 – Demonstrate the knowledge and skills to effectively manage the corporate real estate portfolio as an investment or profit center, including master planning and financial analysis (CLO 4, ILO 4).
- FMGT 403 – Identify and apply sustainable strategies across major categories—such as energy, water, and waste—to promote sustainable business management practices for intelligent buildings (CLO 1, CLO 2, ILO 4).
