#WomensHistoryMonth Ethel L. Payne was known as the "First Lady of the Black Press". She was known for covering significant events during the Civil Rights Movement and for asking tough questions. In 1972, Payne became the first Black woman to be hired by a national broadcasting company. Her legacy continues today with the lectern in the current White House being named after her and Alice Dunnigan. #UHWO #UHWestOahu #MondayMotivation
