LECTURERS, (Anthropology, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, English, Hawaiian Pacific Studies, History, Philosophy, Math, Public Administration, Justice Administration, Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy, Physics, and Education), UH-West Oahu, (Instruction), temporary, part-time, for lecturer applicant pool, pending availability of funds and actual staffing requirements. May be for UHWO day, evening, or weekend offerings.
Duties: Teach assigned courses in the discipline; maintain minimum of one office hour per week for each course taught; prepare course syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress; work under supervision of division chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area. Duties and responsibilities may include work with multi-media presentation, distance education instruction, and teaching at off-campus sites.
Minimum qualifications: All minimum qualifications must be met by the effective date of appointment. Master's degree in relevant discipline. Demonstrated teaching effectiveness.
Desirable qualifications: College teaching experience.
Pay range: Minimum $1215/credit hour, commensurate with education and experience.
